VMLogin Proxy Integration Tutorial: 2 Methods Explained

Integrating proxies into your network setup is important for improving browsing security and managing internet traffic efficiently. VMLogin helps this process by managing multiple browser profiles and sessions. This tutorial will help you integrate proxies with VMLogin. It focuses on two primary techniques, setting up a single proxy and configuring batch proxies. Proxies help us to increase privacy and bypass geo-restrictions. At the end of this tutorial, you can integrate proxies easily and use all of VMLogin’s features effectively.

What is VMLogin?

VMLogin is an advanced tool designed to manage multiple virtual browser profiles while improving privacy and automation. As an anti-detect browser, VMLogin allows users to create and control various profiles from a single computer. It can effectively mitigate browser fingerprinting and facilitate web automation. This makes it ideal for social media marketing, web scraping, and managing multiple online accounts. VMLogin integrates easily with proxy servers. These proxies will make sure that each profile operates with a unique IP address to avoid detection. While both residential and datacenter proxies can be used, residential proxies are preferred for their authenticity and reduced risk of being flagged. Overall, VMLogin can be used to solve many complex problems by providing complete control over browser profiles and proxy settings.

Before starting

To integrate proxies with VMLogin, you’ll need proxy servers. Webshare offers a way to obtain proxies, including 10 free proxies that do not require a credit card for signup. Follow the steps provided below to get started.

  • Sign Up for Webshare: Visit the Webshare website and create a free account. This will grant you access to their proxy services.
  • Access Free Proxies: Once logged in, go to the proxy list section where you can obtain your free proxy list. This list will include details such as IP addresses and port numbers.
  • Verify Proxy Types: Webshare offers both residential and datacenter proxies. For better anonymity and lower risk of detection, it’s recommended to use residential proxies, which use real IP addresses.

How to set up a single proxy in VMLogin?

If you have gotten your proxies, you are now one step closer to integrating your proxies with VMLogin. Follow the steps below to set up a single proxy with VMLogin.

1. Download VMLogin

All you have to do is go to the official VMLogin page and click on the “Download” button to download the setup of the application. Using this, you can install it by providing the necessary permissions.

2. Create an account

Once installed, you are prompted to log in or create an account for VMLogin. Create an account by typing in your email address and a strong password. You are then taken into the VMLogin application. On the homepage, you are presented with the features that VMLogin has to offer.

3. Create a new browser profile

To add your proxies to the browser you have to create a browser profile. Click on “New browser profile” to proceed.

4. Fill out proxy settings

You are now directed to a form where you are required to fill out the details regarding the proxy that you would like to integrate. Using webshare, you can either opt to add a static or rotating proxy.

Static proxies use the same IP address for each connection, ensuring consistency and reliability but risking bans if the IP is flagged. Rotating proxies changes the IP address regularly, enhancing anonymity and avoiding bans, but can be less reliable for maintaining a stable session. Therefore pick whichever one you want after considering your needs.

Static IP address configuration

For adding a static IP address configuration we must first add a display name for the proxy to identify it. Next, click on the “Setting proxy server” button. To add the proxy details you must enable the proxy server toggle. You can now get the details of your proxy from Webshare and fill in the fields available.

Eg: Name: proxy1, IP: 49.123.241.122, Port:4220, Username: username, password:password

After filling in the fields, pick a test IP URL and now you can select the “Test Proxy” button to test whether the proxy works. If the proxy works, it will display information about the proxy such as the country, city, region and coordinates.

Next, click the “save” button to save the proxy which you have added.

Rotating IP address configuration

If you choose a rotating IP address configuration, you can always go to Webshare’s Rotating Proxy Endpoint page to get the necessary details. The process is entirely similar to that of a static IP address configuration with one difference. You will have to use the domain name provided on the Rotating Proxy Endpoint page.

Eg: Name: proxy2, IP: p.websharing.io, Port:50, Username: username, password: password

Now your IP address will change at regular intervals and will provide you with a higher level of security. Don’t forget to save your proxy afterwards.

5. Select the required settings

Now you have a choice, that is whether to get a random profile or to select the settings you prefer.

Pick a random profile

If you don’t care much about the settings you can just randomize them. Select the “Get random profile” option on the bottom left of the page. You will get a drop-down menu where you can select the operating system you use.

Select preferred settings

If you want to set your settings, there are a lot of options available. You can select operating systems, fingerprinting settings, languages, screen resolutions, WebGL suppliers, and time zones. After selecting the correct options, you can just click on “save profile “and the proxy will be added under the Default group in your browser profile list.

6. Start browsing

After you have added the proxy to your browser list, you just have to right-click on the proxy and select “Launch browser”. You can now use your new proxy to browse the internet at will. You may verify if you are using a proxy by visiting a website such as IPinfo, which provides IP information.

How to set up batch proxy list in VMLogin

Batch proxies allow you to manage multiple proxy settings simultaneously while saving time and reducing errors. They are ideal for handling large-scale tasks or testing environments that require numerous IP addresses. This method offers efficient scaling and configuration management. It makes it easier to maintain and update proxies in bulk. Follow the steps below to import a batch of proxies easily.

1. Setup a proxy list

You have to create a list of your proxy information using the notepad on your computer. You have to enter them in the following format.

Proxy type: IP address: Port: Username: Password: Tags

If the proxy doesn’t have a username or a password, you can just leave them empty. Here’s an example of a proxy list.

  • 192.168.1.1:8080:username1:password1
  • 192.168.1.2:9090:username2:password2
  • 192.168.1.3:3128:username3:password3
  • 192.168.1.4:80:username4:password4

Afterwards, just save the file as a text file.

2. Create a browser profile

Now all you have to do now is enter a display name, and select your preferred settings but do not configure proxy settings. After you have selected the settings, change the batch creation number to the amount of proxies you are going to import. Once you select “save profile”, the browser profiles will be added to your browser profile list.

3. Import proxies

Select all the browser profiles you have created, right-click and then select “Batch import proxy to the selected profile”. Now browse your computer and select the text file that we created earlier. Now you can go to your browser profile, right click and select “edit profile configuration”. You can see that these profiles have the same proxy information that you entered on the text file.

That concludes our guide on configuring proxies with VMLogin, including static, rotating, and batch proxies. We believe this article has provided you with the necessary information needed to complete your proxy setup and improve your browsing experience.
