Fair Usage Policy

To maintain service quality and ensure a seamless experience for all users, Webshare applies a Fair Usage Policy to our Proxy Server, Static Residential, and Verified proxies (legacy). This policy helps prevent network congestion and maintains optimal service levels for everyone.

Why Fair Usage Matters

While we offer unlimited bandwidth, Fair usage policy helps us ensure that all users receive reliable and consistent performance. Excessive bandwidth usage by some users can negatively affect network quality, resulting in slower speeds and potential disruptions for others. Our policy regulates unusually high traffic to prevent this.

Fair Usage Bandwidth Threshold Calculation

Bandwidth may be temporarily throttled if a customer’s bandwidth usage significantly exceeds normal levels relative to their subscription plan.

We calculate this threshold as follows:

For the first $1,000 of subscription plan, users receive 1 TB of guaranteed bandwidth for every $10 spent (Plan price ÷ 10). For any amount above $1,000, users receive 1 TB for every $20 spent.
Example: A $1,500 subscription plan provides:
First $1,000 ÷ $10 = 100 TB
Remaining $500 ÷ $20 = 25 TB
Total Guaranteed Bandwidth: 125 TB per subscription plan.
Each Unlimited Bandwidth Plan is guaranteed 10 TB before thottling is enforced.

Our proxies operate at full speed of 300-400 Mbps. Once throttled, speeds may drop to 100 Mbps and gradually decrease to as low as 5 Mbps, depending on continued usage.

Increasing Bandwidth Limits

Important Considerations

The Fair Usage Policy applies to all customers, both new and existing, with active subscriptions.
Webshare reserves the right to unilaterally modify this Fair Usage Policy and its bandwidth speed limits without prior notice.
The Fair Usage Policy is subject to change based on network conditions, service optimizations, and customer usage patterns.
